It Can Happen

As you will see, this was a very special video for me, in which I have included elements from one of my earliest favourite Yes concerts – actually the very first I ever saw – 9012 Live, and this song is possibly my favourite from it, also being penned by Chris himself and with lotsContinue reading “It Can Happen”

Going For The One – isolated bass

Here is the isolated bass version of my recent cover of Going For The One. Now you can hear the mighty Ranney in all its glory! Chris played it originally on his Rickenbacker 8-string prototype, he would later perform it live (in later tours) with his own Ranney.

Going For The One

Remembering Chris Squire’s 75th birthday, here is one of my favourite bass lines of Chris’, played on the mighty 8-string Ranney bass. Although Chris played it originally on his Rickenbacker 8-string prototype, he would later perform it live (in later tours) with his own Ranney.

To The Moment

To The Moment – one of the beautiful songs rescued by Oliver Wakeman from the period before “Fly From Here”. Chris used the Ranney 8-String bass and I am so fortunate to be able to play it on the almost very same bass!

Montreux’s Theme (Rickenbacker) – isolated bass

Here is the Rickenbacker version of Montreux’s Theme, originally recorded in 2014. There is another version on the Fender Jazz Bass, from which I will make an isolated version soon!

Play For Chris 8

Thank you so much to all of you present on the premiere of #playforchris8 and for the warmest reception and comments about this year’s edition. Of course thank you to all participants who made this edition, celebrating Chris and Alan and gave their best efforts and feelings expressed in their words and music. I hopeContinue reading “Play For Chris 8”

Koprivshtitsa festival 2022 – part 3

This is the 3rd edit of my recordings at the Koprivshtitsa festival of Bulgarian Folklore Art. Besides vocal and instrumental ensembles with traditional dances and costumes, another genre of performance typical of the Bulgarian folklore is humour. What today would be called of “stand-up comedy” is, in fact, part of the authentic Bulgarian traditions. AlthoughContinue reading “Koprivshtitsa festival 2022 – part 3”

Koprivshtitsa festival 2022 – part 2

This is the 2nd edit of my recordings at the Koprivshtitsa festival of Bulgarian Folklore Art. More beautiful moments from the Koprivshtitsa festival this summer. I especially liked the little girl singing at the end.
