Play for Chris 8/ Words for Chris – “Alan White”

Play for Chris 8 is the 8th edition of the worldwide tribute to Chris Squire.

Please note: It has been brought to my attention, by my some of my dear Patrons and friends in the social media, the will to participate this year’s edition of PFC, also in the loving memory of Alan White, who sadly passed away on 26 May 2022.

Play For Chris 8 will be named after Alan White and you may additionally dedicate your contribution to Alan, Chris’ life-long musical partner.

Likewise, Words For Chris will be extended as Words For Chris & Alan, so you can express your feelings for Chris and/or Alan in your spoken video message.

Here is where you may express your desire to collaborate!

This year we return to the original format of the first 5 editions where you can play along whichever song you choose. Please record a video within 30 and 90 seconds which I may arrange for the final edit. Please send by AUGUST 31, 2022 the latest.

Send your video to me via a web service such as Dropbox, Wetransfer or Google Drive.

Remember that Play For Chris is not limited to bass players. You may enter with whatever instrument you wish, or sing!

Because it has been brought to my awareness that there are many of Chris Squire fans who do not play any instrument or sing and they would like to collectively express their feelings, along with their fellow musician fans, a parallel project, under the working title of “Words for Chris” will also be created, for all participants, musicians or not. This will simply consist in recording a video testimony, speaking about your feelings for Chris. You may use any language as long as we can arrange a translation for subtitles.
